2. purpose and legal basis

We process your data on the basis of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) as well as all other laws relevant to us under data protection law.

We process the following categories of personal data for the organization and implementation of events and conferences:

  • Names
  • Addresses
  • Contact details
  • Company data
  • Video / image recordings
  • Communication data

The personal data concerning you will be processed for the purpose of organizing the events and conferences (both online and face-to-face events) on the basis of the Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR processed. Participation in one of our events is not possible without the provision of data required for the organization of the events. Event documents will be deleted after 10 years or after the end of the statutory retention periods.

In some cases, we pass on the data to the speakers on the basis of our legitimate interest if this is necessary to prepare for the event (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Your data will only be passed on to other event participants on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

On the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), photos and videos are also taken at our events for advertising and information purposes. These may be published on our website or social networks as well as in print media. Documents relating to past events are reviewed every two years and data that is no longer required is deleted.

We only pass on your data to third parties if this is necessary to fulfill the purpose. Furthermore, data may be passed on on the basis of legal regulations in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c and e GDPR to authorities.

In addition, we use processors in various cases in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR who may receive data from us or have access to your data in connection with their services.
